Christmas Gift Guide for Adventurous People
Share

Every family has one: the person who is always planning the next hike, camping trip or road trip, and who already owns every gadget going. Buying for them can feel tricky, because the best gifts for adventurous people aren’t more stuff. They’re things that capture what they love about the wild, or make their next trip a little better.
This guide pulls together our favourite Christmas gift ideas for the explorer in your life, from fine art photography prints to outdoor goods made to be taken along. Everything ships Australia-wide from Melbourne.
For the person who has everything: a print for the wall.
A fine art photography print is a gift that lasts well beyond Christmas. It turns a place they love, or a place they dream of going, into something they see every day.
If you’re not sure what to choose, start with a landscape they’ve visited or would love to.
The Vintage Bingo Photography Print is the nostalgic, fun pick: a classic bingo hall sign that brings retro charm and a playful touch to any space. It’s ideal for anyone who loves vintage style and a bit of personality on their walls. Shop Vintage Bingo
The Wild One Photography Print is the adventurous, whimsical pick: a lone brumby at dusk in the Northern Territory, shot in golden sunset light. It’s one for anyone who loves the outback and wild places. Shop Wild One
Both prints are a limited edition of 50, printed on museum-grade cotton fine art paper, signed, and sent with a certificate of authenticity.
Both come unframed in four sizes (8x12 inches, A3, A2 and A1), so you can match the size to their space and your budget. Browse all prints.
For the camper and weekend wanderer: goods made to be taken along
For the person who is always packing the car, a practical gift they’ll actually use is hard to beat.
The Enamel Escape Kit ($150) is perfect for weekend adventures. It’s a complete enamelware and linen dining set (two plates, bowls, mugs and tumblers, plus two linen napkins) packed in a hand-sewn canvas roll-down bag made in Melbourne. Keep it in the car and they’re always ready for a picnic, camping trip or road trip. Available in navy and beige. Shop the Enamel Escape Kit
The Canvas Roll-Up Backgammon Set ($200) can join them on any adventure. It’s handmade in Melbourne from Australian ripstop canvas and kangaroo leather, with wooden chips hand-turned in regional Victoria, and it rolls up small enough to pack for the campground or the beach. Available in beige, green and navy. Shop the Canvas Roll-Up Backgammon Set
Can’t decide? Give a gift card
If you’re not sure which print or product they’d love, a gift card lets them choose their own adventure. It’s emailed straight to them, so it works even if you’ve left it a bit late. Buy a gift card.
How to choose the right print
A few quick tips if you’re buying a print as a gift:
- Think about the room. Is it going above a sofa, in a hallway or in a home office? Calm scenes suit bedrooms and offices, while bolder landscapes work well in living areas.
- Check the size. Measure the wall space if you can. As a rough guide, the print should fill about two thirds of the space above a piece of furniture.
- Plan for framing. Many people like to choose their own frame, so a print plus a gift card toward framing can be a thoughtful pairing.
Order by 1 or 10 December for Christmas delivery
To get your gift under the tree in time, order by these dates, and allow extra time for regional and remote areas:
- Photography prints: order by 1 December. Prints are printed to order, so they need a little longer.
- Everything else: order by 10 December. These products are in stock and can be sent straight away.
